A concert of chamber music by the renowned composer Ivan Jevtić, held at the Madlena Art Palace, started at 7:30 p.m. on 8th March. The concert was performed within the harmonious setting of the ArtZept Gallery and in festive mood celebrating the holiday.
Before the beginning of the concert, composer Jevtić addressed the numerous audience, stating that, with her love for beauty and art, Mrs Madlena Zepter had created a true palace of arts, and thanked her for that sincerely. The musicians who performed compositions by Ivan Jevtić that evening, virtuoso instrumentalists who have been performing together for many years, were: Marina Popović (viola), Dušan Panajotović (violin), and Igor Dražević (piano). Performing the same repertoire as at the Madlena Art Palace, they will soon be presenting music of our composer on a tour of China. The concert was conceived in three parts: the first composition performed was Diptych for violin and piano, followed by Preludes for viola and piano, while the Grand trio for violin, viola, and piano was performed as the final composition.
Compositions by Ivan Jevtić have been performed throughout the world. Following his basic and graduate studied at the department for composition at the Faculty of Music of the University of Arts in Belgrade, Jevtić continued his further development at the prestigious National Conservatorium in Paris. After that, as a Herder Fellowship beneficiary, he furthered his musical education in Vienna, at the University of Music and Performing Arts. He has won numerous domestic and international awards for composition, while his pieces are performed by renowned musicians in almost all countries of Europe, North and South America, Russia, Japan, and China. In the end of 1990s, he worked as professor of composition and orchestration at the Conservatorium of Music in Brazil. At the moment, the opus of Ivan Jevtić comprises more than one hundred compositions in the area u chamber music, concert music, and symphonies.
The spectacular concert and impressive rendering of the programme at the Madlena Art Palace was followed by a cocktail by the pool for all the guests present, who were eager to comment the music spectacle on the occasion of the 8th March.
