On 22 December 2022, a forum was organized at the Madlena Art Palace entitled “A word for the end of the year”. It was dedicated to the year which was about to end and expectations from the forthcoming one. For this occasion, the moderator, renowned TV author Tanja Petrenk Aleksić, brought together Maja Isquierdo, professor, doctor, and president of the Peruvian-Serbian Friendship Society, and doctor Aleksandar Misojčić, psychotherapist, psychiatrist, and writer, author of the book “Grad” (“The City”). The idea was that the people in the audience, whose number that evening exceeded 120, should thus part from the year behind them, but also face all the threats experienced in it: from the pandemic, via the war, to the economic crisis. It turned out that such a type of discussion is necessary, and that it is also a form of experience sharing by professionals – guest lecturers and the audience, who felt the need to voice their wishes.
As Dr. Misojčić said:
“It is important to live in the present moment, as the future becomes present very fast. It is important to face our concerns and fears, but also to believe that whatever awaits us will be better.”
